Ferguson called for what he called radical measures. I cant emphasize strongly enough the need for radical fiscal reform to restore the incentives for work and remove the incentives for idleness. He praised really radical reform of the sort that, for example, Paul Ryan [the ranking Republican on the House Budget Committee] has outlined in his wonderful Roadmap for radical, root-and-branch reform not only of the tax system but of the entitlement system and unleash entrepreneurial innovation. Otherwise, Ferguson warned: Do you want to be a kind of implicit part of the European Union? Id advise you against it. This was greeted by hearty applause from a crowd that included Barbra Streisand and her husband James Brolin. Depressing, but fantastic, Streisand told me afterward, rendering her verdict on the session. So exciting. Wonderful! Brolins assessment: Mind-blowing.

Yeah, but that assessment is based on old figures.
I don’t get this at all.
Isn’t this what they wanted and voted for?
Did they not realize the Dem party they adored was socialist to the core, and has been ACHING to get its hands on this marvelous economic machine to change it to its liking?
Did they not vote for ‘Hope and Change’?
Corporate taxes up? What has Obama ever said that would lead them to think he was pro business?
I think I’m in the Twilight Zone.
They never heard Bush talking about redistributing their wealth. He never hammered and hammered about taxing the rich. Of course, I am not convinced that there is a true awakening. If Barbara Streisand is doing a fund raiser for Barbara Boxer, then she still doesn't understand that she is helping to fund those who will eventually harm her and her friends in Hollywood.
The important thing about all of this though, is not the ability of the elite to reason. The important thing is that there is starting to be a shift in what is fashionable. Obama wasn’t elected because folks actually listened to what he said. He was elected because he was the fad of the moment.
Like all fads, his is fading fast.
It is starting to become trendy for the left to bash him. They see he has failed, and the left elites don’t like to be the last in line for anything, clinging to a sinking fad. None of them want to be caught dead wearing last years fashion, and Obama is fast becoming last years fashion.
This is telling, because many more leftist lemmings really do follow Babs and her ilk (sad to say). As the elite begin to jump ship, you will see a mass exodus. Like I said, no one wants to be caught dead wearing last years fashion, and the sooner they can get on to the next fashion, the more intelligent they feel.
Articles like this make me feel good in a sophomoric sort of way.
I’m sure Babs will be bloging her views, just as soon as she learns how to spell “Obama”.
EEeeeeewwwwwwwwwwww.
I feel nauseous.
I never found either (Babs & Sarandon) attractive in any sense of the word.
And she ain’t no lady.

The deal is, 0bama is becoming

to “the elite”. That’s why they’re disowning him, because he’s making them look “less special”.
I don't think so. While I agree with you that the "elite" are not pro American Exceptionalism or pro Constitution, right now, their ox is the one getting gored. Their investment portfolios are going down the tubes. ACORN and SEIU are showing up at the front gates of the mansions.
Babs likes to dabble in socialism, but she also likes that private mansion with her little part of the Pacific Ocean kept as a private beach. She likes environmentalism, but still has a driver take a Winnebago when she goes shopping, so she can have a private living room and bathroom roll around with her. Obama's killing the economy that make those things possible. The elite don't like that.
Ah Dude!!! that pic is just...well, that pic is just wrong on so many levels.
It ain’t fit for National Geographic for crying out loud!!!
Taking a Visine break...
My great aunt once asked me “you know what a flapper is?”
I said, “No...”
She said, “A flapper is a woman who could throw her left er...mammary over her right shoulder.”
Those two elites can’t even string two words together that make sense.
catch #7
bleck! two ol hags masquerading as hookers with tucks and silicone and ‘product’ keeping their skin pulled tight.
there comes a time when every woman should say to herself “NO, that’s too young for me” and just live with it.
