Report: Cartels Using Teens to Smuggle Drugs

Mexican drug syndicates are increasingly employing teenagers - often American citizens - to smuggle drugs across the U.S.-Mexico border, USA Today reported Tuesday.

The article cites three cases of American teenagers caught by the Border Patrol in the last two months with thousands of dollars of marijuana or cocaine strapped to their bodies.

I know a guy, as white-bread as you’ve ever seen, that ran dope across the AZ border at age sixteen.

He’s very reformed, very religious, but when he talks about it, I detect a wisp of nostalgia...

They are using more than teens ... they are using the very backs of the illegal immigrants they are smuggling (coyote) across the Mexican-American border...

I have an old roommate whose muscle head brother lost his dad’s caddy bringing roids across the border in Texas. Real winner that bunch was.

Drug mules are becoming the number one part-time job for teens in Tucson. Drug cartels are recruiting them like crazy.
