Kentucky voters don't think much of Rand Paul and as a result the race to replace Jim Bunning in the Senate is tied. Paul and Jack Conway are getting 43% each.
The more Kentucky voters get to know Rand Paul, the less they like him. When PPP first polled the race in December Paul's favorability was a +3 spread at 26/23. By May it was a -7 spread at 28/35. Now it's a -8 spread at 34/42. The national media attention Paul has received has hurt his cause with voters in the state- 38% say it has made them less likely to support Paul while 29% say it has made them more inclined to vote for him and 33% say it hasn't had an impact on their attitude toward Paul one way or the other.

He’s got an incurable case of RPD.
We could very well lose this seat. Nothing good will come from nominating a Paul.
I don’t know, I live in KY and everyone I talk to likes Paul.
This is one crap poll. Do not believe it.
Regardless of what the poll shows, they really should have chosen a better candidate. However since that ship as sailed, I think they will choose him but will hate the next six years until they can get rid of him.
He is a lot better than open-borders Marco Rubio - who may lose in FL.
PPP doesn’t have a great track record not to mention polls this far out are worthless. Anybody really believe KY is going Dem?
Pray for America
This poll is BS
Did I say ky was approving of obamma? NO, Never said that, next question.
I don't believe it. I'm seeing a lot of crap like this, trying to convince us that Paul is a losing proposition. They are scared of him. They know the voters are sick to death of "politics as usual".
You could very well be right. Hate is a strong word and really didn’t mean “hate”. I just think that he will probably continue to say some crazy things because I think it is difficult to change when you are used to saying things like that.
Election 2010: Kentucky Senate
Kentucky Senate: Paul (R) 49% Conway (D) 42%

This is the bottom line on Rand Paul and everyone who reads this should consider it deeply.
The odds are the Kagan is going to get confirmed to the USSC. Why?
Because not ONE US Senator has the nads to force it to 60 with a filibuster. I pray one will, but I do not see it actually happening.
But, if this was 2011 and Rand Paul was in the Senate, you could count on his “Dr No” obstinate obstructionist policies to BE that NO.
And he would generate such a media frenzy doing so as to provide cover for the weaker GOP Senators who’d like to be NO’s but can’t stand the media hits.
For all the Paul’s faults, and there is a list of them, THIS would be the one desperate measure when we would weep tears of joy at actually having a Senator named Paul.
