Nevada Democrats today re-launched their version of GOP senate candidate Sharron Angle’s old campaign website.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s campaign yanked the website over the weekend after Angle’s lawyers sent a cease and desist letter, claiming Reid abused “proprietary materials” from Angle’s old site.

This afternoon, however, the Nevada Democratic Party put the site back up, claiming protection under the First Amendment.

“Out of an abundance of caution, the Reid campaign decided to temporarily remove the website in question while we investigated their allegations,” the Reid campaign said in a press release this afternoon. “Well, the phony legal threats and the feigned indignation are over — and we're not going to let Sharron Angle retroactively censor Sharron Angle.

"Maybe she's just right on the issues and a little dumb. "

Being a politician is easy, actually getting elected is VERY difficult, especially to statewide office when you have no previous statewide campaign experience. It's exponentially more difficult to win in statewide campaigns compared to local district campaigns.

I doubt Angle is "dumb", even just a little. But, she's going to make rookie mistakes, and Reid - as a crafty old veteran - is going to take advantage of those mistakes. When campaigning for public office, experience matters - unless of course you're John McCain, then you get beat by a kid who's barely out of diapers.

Reid will, of course, have to explain to his gumbahs in the recording industry why COPYRIGHT LAW DOESN’T WORK ~ or he’s going to be down to spending his own money on his campaign.

It has to be some kind of election crime.

If the NRA endorses Harry Reid I am done with the NRA. I don’t care what Reid did in support of Second Amendment rights.

However, anyone who thinks this is a shoe-in for the GOP is smoking crack.

Haven't seen Reid break 43% in forever, so unless third party candidates can take 15%, the lady wins. With that said, always play like you are 10 points behind.

The fact Wayne LaPierre chose to support Reid at the same time the Searchlight event was happening (and Sarah Palin was there) is all I need to know about the NRA.

She should put up a phony reid site

Nothing personally against Angle, but the GOP NEVER EVER plays the game on the same level as the party of RATS.

>>She’s said some things that would make me wonder about her fitness...not because I disagree with her, but because I wouldn’t SAY THEM PUBLICLY if I was running for national office.<<

From this angle as a Nevadan I think her ideas are just about right. She wants to chop everything the feds do with our money. I have no problems with that, NONE! She wants to restrict state legislators. I also have no problems with that, NOT A ONE!

I am fed up with bureaucrats that think we all need our hands held from dawn ‘til dusk.

I agree — but let’s remember, you got to count the heretofore unaccounted for ACORN fraudulent voters, and the SEIU Union vote which will be STRONG [and REPETITIVE] particularly in Las Vegas and other casino and gaming areas of the State; and finally, you have to DISCOUNT at least SOME Angle voters that the Black Panthers will turn away, “discourage,” and intimidate as they did in Philadelphia — because, after all, they know they CAN do it, and their bud AG Eric Holder is just going to drop any charges that might be brought against them anyway....

I’d say, if current polling is correct, that tis will be enough to give ol’ Harry to 2-3% margin of victory he needs to remain in office.

Now, it’s up to Tea Partiers, 9/12er’s and REAL watchdogs, MinuteMen and Patriots to PREVENT that kind of garbage from happening — NOT to just lay down and take it as we have so often in the past. Only Nevadan’s who CARE for our Nation can PREVENT Harry Reid from returning to the Senate. PLEASE, do that for our nation!

Actually there is. FR makes use of it every day.

Sharron cannot stop the “waybackmachine” from remembering her previous comments, some of which were silly. She can only win by admitting them and admitting that she has changed.

Denying previous comments recorded is a stupid strategy.

the Courts have given WIDE birth with respect to political satire and parody

Well, that wouldn't apply. There is absolutely no "satire" or "parody" involved.

The Dims' entire point is that Angle is (supposedly) "scrubbing" her previous views and endorsements in her new website. So their explicit and stated purpose is to put up the original Angle website just as it existed before, at least as far as the about, positions and endorsements pages.

They've copied the original Angle website, and basically reposted it under the auspices of "The Nevada State Democratic Party."

Correct. Except that the main point won't be to intimidate voters. That's just a bonus of secondary importance. The thugs will be out with the primary intent of SCARING OFF AND DRIVING AWAY POLL WATCHERS, especially from "certain" highly corrupt urban precincts, so that vote fraud, on a locally massive scale, can proceed.

The NRA likes both of them. What does that say about the NRA? Yikes.

As they explained to me, they are a "single issue" organization "sworn" to uphold the Second Amendment above all else. It's a shame as I always thought they believed that, as Americans, they should defend the entire Constitution.
