CHINO, Calif. (KABC) -- She was convicted in one of the most notorious murder cases in Los Angeles history, and on Tuesday, former Charles Manson follower Leslie Van Houten faces her 19th parole hearing. It may be her best chance yet for release.
She was just 19 when she joined members of the Manson cult in the killings of Leno and Rosemary La Bianca.

When the La Biancas get a parole from death, this bitch can have a parole from prison.
Van Houten has a new lawyer, Brandie Devall, who says she will refer to recent rulings by the Supreme Court that affects standards for parole. Most significant is the case of Sandra Lawrence, a convicted murderer who was paroled after 23 years in prison after the court held that to refuse parole there must be evidence that a prisoner is currently a danger to public safety. The court said the board could not base a refusal only on the details of the crime committed by the inmate long ago.
Her lawyer is the devall?
And if the new standard is going to be a "threat" to society vs. punishment for your crime, then let everyone out on parole after 9 months and if they repeat, lock them back up. How's that?
Now, Now, let her out. At least we qon’t have to pay for her room & board or healthcare.

I absolutely agree with you. None of the Manson bunch should EVER be set free.
If they wouldn’t parole her partner in crime, Susan Atkins, when she had terminal cancer I don’t see Leslie getting out just on a promise not to do it again.
I’m so tired of seeing these people (particularly this one) paraded out in new clothes that help them to look mild mannered and totally rehabilitated. And if they’re born again or not, when it comes to societal review, it doesn’t matter. She participated in some of the most vile crimes in our nation’s history, for no other reason than to please Charlie.
She should have been sent to her just rewards decades ago.
It’s a damnation of our entire judicial system for this person to actually be reviewed for release every few years.
How about we trade her out — she gets released and I know who I’d love to see take her place. I wonder if murdering the Constitution would hold up.
she was 19 and stupid and made some horrible choices.
that being said....let her rot. Actions have consequences. the worst of the lot should have been hung...and she is pretty much where she belongs....life in prison.
I absolutely agree with you. None of the Manson bunch should EVER be set free.
Amen to you both!
When their death sentences were commuted to life in prison the parole hearings should never have been allowed to start. It would be more humane for them because they'd never get their hopes up. LOL!
The greatest thing though is they'd never be paroled.
Ping to #10.
It would be cruel and inhumane to take that old woman out of her protective surroundings. It’s all she knows.
Release her to a hero’s welcome in Libya. Did the Lockerbie Bomber make an incredible recovery or what? They said he had 3 months to live.
On the night of August 10, 1969, Manson drove Van Houten, Tex Watson, Patricia Krenwinkel, Susan Atkins, Steve Grogan, and Linda Kasabian to an address in Los Feliz, the home of Rosemary and Leno LaBianca. Manson entered the house with Watson and handed him the ropes around his neck; he then left the house, instructing Krenwinkel and Van Houten to go inside and join Watson. The house had previously been cased in a process they called “creepy-crawling.”
Krenwinkel and Van Houten found Rosemary LaBianca in a bedroom, to which she had retired while her husband had fallen asleep while reading in the living room. Van Houten put a pillowcase over Rosemary LaBianca’s head, and the two women tied the electrical cord from a lamp around her neck. LaBianca started struggling; meanwhile, her husband, who had been tied up in the living room, started screaming as Watson began stabbing him. Rosemary grabbed the lamp and swung it at Van Houten, who fought with her and knocked the lamp away. Van Houten then held LaBianca down while Krenwinkel tried to stab her in the chest, but the blade bent on LaBianca’s clavicle. Van Houten called for assistance from Watson, who entered the bedroom and took charge. Van Houten exited the room and stood in the hallway, staring into an adjacent empty room.
Watson then stabbed Rosemary LaBianca several times, found Van Houten, handed her the knife, and told her to “do something.”[1] Van Houten proceeded to stab Rosemary 16 times in the lower torso. The autopsy showed that several of the wounds had been inflicted post-mortem. Van Houten then wiped the premises down for fingerprints, changed into LaBianca’s clothes, and took food from the refrigerator before leaving the house.

Again, I agree.
Jim, I realized you might think I was chastising you and I’m sorry if it came off that way. We’re in agreement here, and I felt compelled to say more than I did the first time, because this has been a thorn in my side for decades.
Take care.
Before they turn her loose on us, she lives with them, in their house, with their family and they deal with and suffer any and all consequences.
She’s all better now? Sorry, I ain’t buying it.

Oh no, I didn’t take it that way at all. I agree with your posts 100%. I’m sorry if my post sounded short, I really didn’t know what else to add as I thought yours pretty much said it all:)
