One of the first pieces of legislation to become law in Indiana after his election was a bill requiring that a mother be allowed to hear the heartbeat or view an ultrasound of her child before an abortion. The law has just about crippled the abortion industry in Indiana and has driven Planned Parenthood completely bonkers.
Really? Are abortions down that much in Indiana, year-over-year? Got any statistics on the decline?
I ask only because similar measures are being considered in my own State, and it would be pleasing to expect that such laws will have some positive effect. Perhaps some souls aren't too calloused after all, once they see with their own eyes or hear with their own ears....
