Democrats deeming themselves defeated come November
Washington Examiner ^ | 7-6-10 | Hugh Hewitt

On the first day of July, the House of Representatives passed a "budget enforcement resolution" that "deemed as passed" a $1.12 trillion budget.

Thirty-eight House Democrats voted no, perhaps because they sense in this year of the Tea Party Movement it isn't good politics to engage in such a sham. But pass it did.

More tricks from House Speaker Nancy Pelosi that hide nothing but actually bring great clarity to the next four months. House Democrats might have thought they were deeming as passed a budget, but what they were really doing is deeming their defeat in November.

~snip~

Pelosi's spineless minions did not dare pass a real budget, for a real budget would have shown in black and white -- in red ink, actually -- just how wildly mismanaged the federal fisc has become.

The trio of President Obama, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and Pelosi is putting the finishing touches on a one-year deficit of $1.6 trillion, while setting in motion an expansion of the standing debt to well north of $14 trillion.

~snip~

So they deemed a budget in place and went on to shower money on youth summer jobs, black farmers and state government employee unions while not delivering the funding for the war in a way that could have allowed the support to begin flowing to the troops.

~snip~

There is even emerging a climate in which senators thought untouchable, such as New York's Chuck Schumer and Oregon's Ron Wyden, could suddenly find themselves as endangered as Wisconsin's Russ Feingold has become from Ron Johnson or Washington state's Patty Murray by Dino Rossi.

The utter contempt with which these Democrats have treated the future of the country ...

It is all a trick that the Dems have been playing since Obama was elected. They knew he would be a one term president, so their objective became to hand over the worst economy and the worst problems that they could create. They knew the majority of Americans would not go for all the taxing, spending, and liberal bills and would rush to vote Obama and the Dems out of office. They knew everything that has been accomplished by them these past two years would not win the Dems elections.

But, they also knew that if they drove the country into the depths of a depression, ruined our status as a world leader, angered our allies, etc. that the GOP would be stuck with all this and it would take a long time to recover. Hence, with the Republicans back in control...it is the Republicans who, according to the Liberals' plan, will bear the blame. That is how they will play it.

All of the mess will fall on the shoulders of a new Republican President and Congress members and the liberals will be screaming that the Republicans are responsible for every suffering American problem. And, dumb Americans will believe them.

I am soooo tired of politicians playing games, looking our for their own interests...and NOT working for America, but for their own goals and their own party. There's not one of them in Washington that I would trust anymore. They have lost the idea of solving a problem together for the sake of the country. The tug-of-war that exists in Washington now is despicable. Not one of them has put our country...or the good for ALL Americans...first before their desire for power and keeping the "fight" alive in Congress, and blaming the opposition

Whoever gets elected in November, and then as President in 2012 will have a terrible time, as will all Americans already suffering from these Liberals.
