Should the parole board recommend parole for Van Houten hopefully Gov. Schwarzenegger will deny it as he did for Bruce Davis.

Van Houten, 60, remains incarcerated at the California Institution for Women at Frontera...

If only the members of the Manson gang had hooked up with a high-class criminal like Billie Ayers, instead of the tradiional convict Charlie Manson, they could have ridden their counter-cultural hatred of “the pigs” to power, respectability, and association with the first Marxist POTUS.

Exactly! I lived there at the time and remember vividly the murders and the fear this sick group caused. They should have all been executed years ago like they were sentenced to and would have been except for the lib CA Supreme Court.

If she should ever be released she’d fit right in as a member of the Obama admin.

I think she’ll eventually be released. They let that lunatic Squeaky Fromme out, so I’m betting Van Houten will get out as well. Besides, she has the added advantage of an aristocratic sounding name. Fair or not, a lot of people will hear the name and think, “Nah, she’ll never get in trouble again.”

Leslie Van Houten, the one-time Charles Manson follower long seen as the most likely of his ex-acolytes to win freedom... Her chances for parole are enhanced by the fact that she has been discipline free since her incarceration in the early 1970s, has positive psychological reports and has been active in self-help groups at the prison including "Golden Girls," a group for elderly women inmates.
She stabbed Rosemary LaBianca many times. To the LA Times, this is a trivial thing.

I understand what you’re saying and I fear you could be right but Squeaky was not one of the group sentenced to death for the brutal murders. Don’t get me wrong, Squeaky should not have been paroled either, IMO.

Squash her head in a vise. What a waste of the parole board’s time and tax payer money. Stab her multiple times.

If Governor Moonbeam re-takes his seat, Charles Manson might well be released.
