Perhaps he is going to run for president. But whether he does or doesn't it is better to be Gov. of Mississippi than RNC chairman.

Whoever picked Steele should be expunged too.

And yes, his replacement is crucial. Someone who is ultraconservative, knows the ropes, can organize, etc.

There hasn't been an RNC chairman like that since... Haley Barbour.
