Joe Biden makes a fool of himself again, trying to make a joke:
THE VICE PRESIDENT: Thank you very much, Mr. Ambassador. Let me begin by saying, Mr. President, its great to see you again, and all of my friends; Mr. Minister. So many of you Ive known for so long.
I came once again with a distinguished American delegation, because they dont trust me alone. (Laughter.)
Because they know I like you too much.

Our troops don’t deserve torture-by-dolt.
Still, I will say this...
Joe is in Iraq,
Obama is having a BBQ
"As I said, Ive met with all of you for many years, and hopefully you view me as I view you, as a personal friend. I just wanted to make it clear Im not lecturing, Im not imparting any great wisdom that you dont already know."
This while trying to explain how somehow our declaration of independence is really about subordinating our individual liberty to the common collective:
"all of you know it requires great sacrifice and the willingness to subordinate your individual interest to the communal good."
Of course, Biden would never sacrifice HIS liberty for the common good; But his bastardization of the statement "united we stand" is pathetic and disgusting. We don't subordinate our liberty for the communal good, it is our individual liberty protected by a limited government that ensures the communal good.
I saw him on tv, making some joke..the audience response was less than lukewarm..
But the concept of subordinating your individual interest is fundamental to the success of any nation.
Amen Brother
"What Im about to say is the only thing that may border on sounding like I am lecturing. In my humble opinion, in order for you to achieve your goals, you must have all communities voices represented in this new government -- proportionately."
Of course, this from the man who said the only way for Iraq to be a country was to split it up into three countries.
To say these words on Independence day is ridiculous.
It goes against our very foundation.
No, really...
One can surely frame it that way. The founding fathers certainly did make supreme personal sacrifices for the young nation. They expressed that sentiment by their actions. However, I don't recall them using language like this. This is the way that socialists speak. In fact, it is the way that Stalin, Hitler and Mao frequently spoke. I think the spirit of the founders tells us that we all should be ready to make personal sacrifices for our personal liberty and that of our children.
Biden:
Can’t we all just get along?
As far as 4th of July speeches go, Biden is a toilet scrubber non patriot Socialist. Toby Keith rocked tonight with Boston Pops. Toby Keith for Secretary of Defense baby!
Amen
BITE ME IS DANGEROUS.
Don’t think either one of them will be on the 2012 ticket.....
Biden keeps bringing up his grandfather in his speeches—trying to sound like a regular Joe, I guess.
To 13 - Actually, they, or at least some, did. Jefferson envisioned, with the United States setting the example, a shift to governments following the American template, especially among countries in Europe.
Dumba$$ is too kind a term for Old Joe. He needs a muzzle and a staitjacket. The rest of the family is no great shakes either (well considering the gene poool, it should come as no surprise). One son involved in a financial scam (allegedly). Rumors of drug use (even drug selling) have been around for yeard. And whatevr happened with his daughter’s run in with the police (Chicago, I think)? That got covered up pretty quick. Yeah, just like the Bush twins got treated./s
