WASHINGTON (AP) - Calling the Declaration of Independence more than words on an aging parchment, President Barack Obama marked the Fourth of July on Sunday by urging Americans to live the principles that founded the nation as well as celebrate them.
"This is the day when we celebrate the very essence of America and the spirit that has defined us as a people and as a nation for more than two centuries," Obama told guests at a South Lawn barbecue honoring service members and their families.
"We celebrate the principles that are timeless, tenets first declared by men of property and wealth..

Independence day is about getting out of the yoke of tyrannical government. Some of the voting groups that 0 mentioned seem to be trying to get back in it.
You folks just do not get it. Michelle and Barack Hussein Obama both hate America and everything good and decent she stands for. As for the military folks, they must be nuts to be seen anywhere near this traitor to all of our troops in battle across the world. Obama could care less about our military folks, but then again, he cares for no one but his detestful self. The sooner you folks learn that the better of the USA will be.
