President Barack Obama says he is speeding up the U.S. transition to a clean energy economy, as part of efforts to make sure jobs and industries of the future take root in the United States.

In his weekly address Saturday, President Obama touted almost $2 billion in new investments in two U.S. solar energy companies.

"After years of watching companies build things and create jobs overseas, it's good news that we've attracted a company to our shores to build a plant and create jobs right here in America," said President Obama.

Mr. Obama says the projects will create thousands of jobs and generate enough clean energy for tens of thousands of homes.

“Where there are no oxen, the manger is clean, but abundant crops come by the strength of the ox.” Proverbs 14:4

It’s clean and impoverished, or dirty and prosperous.

“Ye pays yer money and ye makes yer choice.” Most people chose Obama and poverty.

Okay Barry O.... explain which one and the steps you will take to replace oil without interrupting the economy or peoples lives.

If money was no object, I still have doubts that these so called alternative or green energies would work. The only workable alternative to existing fossil fuels is nuclear. Barry is not going there.

From your link:

Also, the company has several projects under development in the Southwest.
The guarantees are part of the Obama administration's economic stimulus package, in which renewable energy projects feature prominently.

The people actually thought he would pay for their "gas and mortgage", much like someone in N. Korea promised to do the same.

At this point the most we can hope for is that he is struck by lightning before November so he can't thwart the elections.

And “dumb” is incurable.

“At this point the most we can hope for is that he is struck by lightning before November so he can’t thwart the elections.”

You have no idea how hard I’m “hoping” for that, and perhaps an epidemic of some fatal virus that only strikes dumb people. That would obviously eliminate 99% of the politicians.

Screw “clean energy”. That crap is too expensive and does as much damage to the environment as fossil fuels. Let’s get to work on some “comprehensive” tax and spend “reform”. The fools on the hill and in the oval orifice are out of control.

Once the government piss the money away to build the new energy jobs the companies will move them over seas where they can make a profit and not have to screw around with the health insurance issues, high end salaries, OSHA, EPA etc..

Well Obama and $oro# can kiss their investments goodbye.

Have you seen how much a roof full of solar panels would cost the average family?

There is no way anyone could afford to blow tens of thousands on solar panels right now, even if they wanted to...even with Federal and State tax rebates...it's still tens of thousands.

These people are insane.

Just how bat sh-t crazy will Obama have to become before he is taken away for evaluation and a long rest?

Looking back, we'll be able to say that Mary Todd Lincoln may have been the first known nutcase in the White House but not the biggest.
