>thanks for correcting the image link.....

My pleasure.

>What’s what? clouds, shiny water, snow, oil?

Well, it looks like there ARE clouds in the right-hand eighth of the picture.
The OD-tinged grey seems to be the oil, for the most part; I’m not sure what the white streamer in the middle of the picture is, though maybe it is HIGHLY mixed oil & water (which does produce a milky/murky color). The textured/ridge-looking feature going diagonal (near the scale indicator) seems (to me) to be the edge of the oil-slick... as the expression “oil over troubled waters” comes to mind, take a look how (for the most part) the oil-slick looks calm/unagitated, the textured water, on the other hand, looks agitated. (So, that’s where I’d guess the edge of the slick is.)

It’ just unbelievable, isn’t it.

It is stunning. I can't believe we are just taking it from this punk.

Come tax day next year, everyone should boycott it. A huge portion of our country has been DELIBERATELY f*cked up by the “Won”.
Cloward/Piven. We know what he’s doing. He’s deconstructing the country we love.

Funny how he takes us for fools....the ones that VOTED for him are fools, and I think he “plays” to them.

The rest of us know better. He’s a known traitor to the rest of us.

I hope there are a lot of pissed off Cajuns...I may join them. Life is short...and I have little to lose.

Gonna have to spend the next few days trying to save Louisiana. Hurricane Alex just caused oil products to devastate some Miss/Ala/Panhandle beaches. Right now a tropical thunderstorm system will begin churning up the area in 36 hours moving waves due north from the oil spill area. Then a third system comes up from east of the Yucatan and it causes major problems for the spill area. We are talking 10 to 12 foot seas with waves directed right into Lousianna from the spill site. SE to NW moving waves. Here is a map showing them at their most intense. Note - This is a prediction. Combined NOAA and SurferToday.com map.

Map is for 111 hours from midnight PST. So that would be 3 PM PST on Wednesday. 1 PM PST Wednesday in Louisiana. These waves will be much stronger then the Alex waves because this weaker system goes right over the spill site. We are talking massive devastation for oil into Louisiana, more extensive damage for Miss/Ala and the Western end of the Florida Panhandle. We need to have this area completely skimmed by Tuesday, which is not possible considering the assets we have employed and the rough seas that the inbetween tropical thunderstorm system will cause. So from Wednesday late morning to evening, Louisiana will have 10-12 foot waves driving oil products up into the Mississippi Delta and Bayou.

I agree with you... and we need to do a lot more hell raising. I am certain that it will happen... the cauldron is boiling just not there yet. We are slow to anger and slower getting over it. Thanks for the post.
