Sharron Angle confirms she is not a birther

Earlier today, I spoke exclusively to Sharron Angle, the Republican nominee to challenge Harry Reid for the Senate seat in Nevada. In the past few days, rumors have swirled that Angle is a crypto-Birther. I asked her "flat out" whether she believed Barack Obama was born somewhere other than Hawaii, and she replied, "No. Is that flat-out enough for you?"

My guess is that most of us latched on to Obama's own admission of dual citizenship and found him unacceptable to the purpose of exclusively leading this nation. Dual-citizenship and upbringing "may" have introduced a certain duality in purpose to his governance. And, a year later having witnessed his agenda, I think we were right in what we had to fear.

In the eyes of the law ,obama is not a natural born citizen.
The problem is who has the authority to enforce the law. All the cases against obama have been dismissed on a lack of standing. The persons attempting to prove obama was not a NBC had no standing(right) to make a case against obama. It is up to the A.G. Holder (obama’s friend) and Congress to take action to void obama’s election. It is not about evidence , no case has been tried based on the merits(evidence ). Both the Supreme Court and Congress have given clear definitions of what a NBC is. CHILDREN WHO'S PARENTS ARE U.S. CITIZENS ARE NATURAL BORN. obama’s is in violation of a law(article2) that the politicians in congress do not want enforced.

I don't have a clue where he was born. I "believe" he's concealing his birth certificate plus a couple dozen other biographical records, for who knows what reason. And I care about that. Can I be a birther too?

I get your point completely. I'm putting myself in the place of the Globe reader. She has been assuming that we know all about Obama's past, or why would the media and the Dem party have let him be president? (That's how naive most folks at the supermarket are.)

Moreover, she doesn't have a theory about "born in Kenya," and she doesn't know or doesn't care about NBC (which is a pity).

But she knows enough to be suspicious when she has reason to believe she's been cheated, or that someone is concealing important information. I think that's where the new "birthers" will be coming from. Educating people about the pile of concealed documents, starting with the missing long form, is a very good strategy.

Anyway, hats off to the Globe.

Sharon Angle should have a better answer than this.

She is playing the Obamabot media's game which is to get her to lie to prove that she has faith in Obama, faith that he is a natural born citizen, faith that he was born in Hawaii, faith that he is qualified to be in the Oval Office, in spite of the fact that there is no evidence behind that faith, merely an ethereal prefabrication without substance that logical people call a lie.

Any Republican asked that question by a reporter should answer:

"Are you asking me about my religious faith??? about my beliefs??? about whether or not I am of his faith??? You should know better than that. The Constitution proscribes a religious test for office."

You're very aware that in the eyes of the law someone is innocent of a crime until proven guilty in a court of law. If Joe Smith murders John Doe in front of a camera for the world to see, then confesses to the murder in writing, Joe Smith is still innocent "in the eyes of the law" until conviction in a court of law. We all know that open and shut cases have been thrown out of court many times. Sometimes the guilty get to walk. Those people are still innocent "in the eyes of the law".

No legal authority with the power to remove Barack Obama has done so. Multiple legal authorities with the power to certify his election as valid HAVE done so. In the eyes of "the law" Obama is president.

In my opinion it's far better to put our efforts toward thwarting his administrations goals and move aggressively toward defeating him at the polls in 2012.

I love it when people refuse to accept the birth evidence already produced as being accurate, but simultaneously will uncritically promote the 'Maya has a COLB' lie that was just made up by a discredited "expert," which never had any visual evidence to back it up, and which has been repeatedly debunked for two whole years.

How is it that this rumor refuses to die? Maya never had a COLB. TechDude made it up. There's not even a *fake* Maya COLB to justify the rumor's ongoing existence. So why does it keep getting repeated?

We are doing that right here and elsewhere by pointing out that in the eyes of the Constitution, the highest law of the land, Obama is not an Article II natural born citizen, and that a Congress full of Democrats and faux conservative RINOs failed the Constituion and the people in 2008 by not vigilantly enforcing Article II.
