I would say, “I have no idea.” Which is true. Granny could have been telling the truth or a lie when she filed the paperwork.

Sharron, even if Barack H Obama had been born in the Lincoln Bedroom of the White House he would still not be a Natural Born Citizen

a "birther," a term used to describe those who believe that President Obama was not born in the United States. They can't even get that right. That isn't the only "birther" POV. His father was a foreigner. That makes him not NBC. I don't care if he was born on the desk in the Oval Office. He isn't an NBC.

well if she had admitted it, whether she actually believes it or not, she would be “crucified, dead and buried” and labeled a kookby the MSM before election

I asked her "flat out" whether she believed Barack Obama was born somewhere other than Hawaii, and she replied, "No. Is that flat-out enough for you?"
Actually, physical location of birth is not the deciding factor for, dare I say, *most* birthers. My guess is that most of us latched on to Obama's own admission of dual citizenship and found him unacceptable to the purpose of exclusively leading this nation. Dual-citizenship and upbringing "may" have introduced a certain duality in purpose to his governance. And, a year later having witnessed his agenda, I think we were right in what we had to fear.

Why are all GOP candidates asked to comment on Obama’s place of birth?
WILL SOMEONE ASK OBAMA DIRECTLY WHERE HE WAS BORN AND WHY HE HAS NOT PRODUCED HIS LONG-FORM BIRTH CERTIFICATE???

In the eyes of the law Obama is a natural born citizen. The birther movement is therefore a pointless undertaking.

Pish posh ... Didn't your parents teach you it was more important to be "right" than "popular"? In the long term, you'll be remembered more fondly for it. As for the "eyes of the law", as the court system ducks the question time and time again on technicality ... that's not really the case.

In the eyes of the lawyers, judges and legis-traitors Obama is a natural born citizen.
Fixed it for you.
The law is words, and words have no eyes-- but do have meaning. In this case the meaning is being ignored by those-- with eyes, BTW-- who claim to be, or at least to represent, the law.

My parents brought me up that way. I used to believe that Justice prevailed.
I don’t believe that any more.
There is no Justice.

Why is it such a 'crackpot' idea? Because the MSM says it is? Nobody ever produced any evidence to show that he was born in Hawaii. His own sister has a COLB and she was born in Indonesia.
Why is anyone who asks a question about the Messiah automatically either a racist, crackpot or terrorist?
Where are his grades? His college transcripts? His thesis?
The Dems made a big deal out of the fact that McCain graduated at the bottom of his class. Yet, at the same time they will not release Obummer's grades.
You know that if he actually graduated in the top-half of his class, we would know all about it.
Therefore, we can safely assume that even with 'race-norming', the 'editor' who never wrote a single article graduated in the bottom half of his class.
We actually have access to his 'brilliant' wife's master's thesis... it reads as if written by a drunken 12 year old who barely writes in English as a second language. Obama's writing is probably no better.

Good for her.
She needs to learn from the mistakes of Debra Medina.
Short and unequivocal...”I am NOT a Birther!”

I asked her "flat out" whether she BELIEVED Barack Obama was born somewhere other than Hawaii, and she replied, "No. Is that flat-out enough for you?"Could they ask her if she BELIEVES in Santa Clause? Because that is just as relevant as BELIEVING Barry Dunham aka Barry Soetoro aka Barack Hussein Obama Jr was born in Hawaii!
What is her BELIEF based upon?
There has not been one person on this planet that has provided the evidence of what hospital Barry was born in! That includes all the morons here on Free Republic that insist this is not an issue!
EVERY politician that runs for public office should have a single response to the question of whether or not they are a birther:
"I have not seen Barry's birth record. Mr. Obama could clear this up if he would just release his lawful birth record that shows what hospital he was born in and the name of the delivering Dr.

I agree with you Uncle Miltie. No one knows. Even if he was born in the USA, did he give up his citizenship when he was older?

Agree.
Actually her assertive self conscious response is a sign that she feels compelled to respond reactively to ignorant journalists' interviews, and can be their pawn.
This is very very prevalent among politicians, and is troubling in the sense that the Media does hold sway over many politicians.
The classic independent counter was Fred Thompson in the national debate when he said he simply would not reply to such silliness (brought on by a journalists' inquiry).
I can only value individuals who have the wherewithal to discount the Media's bigotry outright. Actually GWB did do this in principle, but was abysmal at verbally displaying it. Donald Rumsfeld was fully capable of holding his own.
We will never never be free of the Media Bigotry until some are capable of showing them up, in real time, for what they are.

We can't be sure about where Obama was born because he refuses to release his long form birth certificate. Liberals can call us whatever they want but that doesn't change the facts of the case. I wonder what the media would say if irrefutable evidence surfaced that shows Obama was not born in America?
