LIAR !!!!!!
These travesties are technically under oath, are they not?
It is an absolute travesty that this woman is actually being considered for the SC position. The additional evidence that she lies, is completely evasive, and is totally at odds with the Constitution of the United States is a sad commentary on how far we have fallen from our foundation.
Okay, so how about the centerpiece of the article...her testimony...where is the "discrepancy"?
She was definitely evasive under Sen. Hatch's questioning, but I thought that she never created a discrepancy. And "not forthcoming"? Is that a requirement, to go beyond the question?
Focus on the evasion, not some investigation!
"I promise not to answer any question directly and to as much as humanly possible stretch the truth so that it looks like I am a clone of Justice Roberts."
I could have sworn the oath was to "tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth." But maybe I was wrong.
Both Kagan and Sotomayor have told bald faced lies before congress. Maybe this will give the republicans the opportunity to impeach them both if and when they take power. Of course they won't, but then maybe Darryl Issa will at least introduce articles of impeachment.
I could be wrong but my guess is that nominees aren't under oath during hearings such as this.
