Yeah, sure.
The British use the term Asian more broadly than we do. It does seem to provide some camoflage, but I think it’s rather unintentional. The French, however, have trouble with “youths” and I’m pretty sure that the term is nothing but misdirection.
Let’s rub it in their face. Let’s set up a site where we laud beautiful, sexy, Muslim women. I know, it may be hard to find many, but it sure would be a thumb in the eye to the rest of the bastards!
Actually, I think you'll find that news sources in the UK normally refer to groups such as Pakistanis as asian. They apparently have a different mental map of where asia begins and ends from Americans.

The Brits refer to Arabs and Persians as "Asian."

“Asian” means Arab as well on that side of the pond, I understand.
