He will make his case to the public in a speech Thursday.
Obama met with members of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus on Tuesday and discussed a strategy for passing a bill that had seemed dead for the year.
In a speech at American University, he plans to make the case for providing a path to legal status for the estimated 11 million people who live in the U.S. illegally

It was reported earlier in the week that independent groups that supports tighter limits on immigration are warning that the Obama administration is drafting a plan to "unilaterally" issue blanket amnesty for millions of illegal aliens.

“for the estimated 11 million people”
Try 35,000,000.

Is he going to give them a Presidential pardon?
If he does anything like that, then the Articles of Impeachment should be drawn up the next day.

When did the President get the power to do that? Wouldn’t Bush have done it if it were part of his powers?
I forget the Constitution doesn’t matter anymore.

Each time a presidential pardon is issued, it must include the crime, the circumstances, the NAMES, the reasons etc.
I wold hope there are some knowledgeable Constitutional lawyers that will immediately file in federal court for an injunction while hearings are scheduled to investigate presidential abuse of powers.
It must be done via the judiciary, because the dem Congress will do nothing.
Pray that a federal lawsuit is filed and an injunction is granted to stop this abuse until after the November elections.

Voting on an immigration bill in a lame-duck session has some advantages in proponents' eyes. Outgoing members of Congress would have little reason to fear backing a controversial bill. And those who won might be more likely to support it, since they wouldn't have to face voters for another two years when Obama is up for reelection and likely to draw progressives to the polls. If they do that, they would hear from the American people like never before. Who knows what might happen.

By who? If enough seats are won, possibly by a Republican House of Representatives in early 2011.
