Why Obamanomics Has Failed
The Wall Street Journal ^ | 06-30-10 | ALLAN H. MELTZER

Uncertainty about future taxes and regulations is enemy No. 1 of economic growth.

The administration's stimulus program has failed. Growth is slow and unemployment remains high. The president, his friends and advisers talk endlessly about the circumstances they inherited as a way of avoiding responsibility for the 18 months for which they are responsible.

But they want new stimulus measures—which is convincing evidence that they too recognize that the earlier measures failed. And so the U.S. was odd-man out at the G-20 meeting over the weekend, continuing to call for more government spending in the face of European resistance.

Has it really failed? The intention of Obamanomics was to hobble the private sector and grow government. Isn't it succeeding at that?

" Isn't it succeeding at that?"

Socialists are by definition anti-capitalists.

The Obammunist/Democrat leadership agenda is proceding right on schedule: anti-capitalist collectivist success.

The WSJ should quit beating around the bush. Hussein Obama's economic goals are being attained at a rapid pace.

Your observation is a cogent one.

Sometimes the public is aware of problems before anyone else. As in “If the Obama administration is so incompetent on this, it can't do anything right on the economy either.”

Obama’s nonperformance on the Gulf oil spill is scaring people into thinking nobody is in charge.

So fear uncertainty and doubt are ruling the day to the point that Atlanta Fed officials are talking about i in speeches.

See:

http://www.calculatedriskblog.com/2010/06/feds-lockhart-sustainable-final-demand.html

From Atlanta Fed President Dennis Lockhart: Recovery and the Challenge of Uncertainty:

“The economy has not yet arrived at a state where healthy and sustainable final demand is underpinning growth.”

and

“I'm prepared to believe, however, that this relentless environmental disaster is an additional factor holding back consumer and business confidence. The spill disheartens us all and, I believe, makes the public a little more reticent to assume a smooth recovery path.”

In so many words...

...expect that double dip recession soon.

NO, it is a huge success. The purpose is to destroy the country, and it is working with the support of gullible American voters.

Well, the LUNATICS ARE running the assylum these days,...so someone IS in charge...just not the people that should be...

...as in ‘We The People.’ But, for some reason a good chunk of us are still asleep at the wheel...
