"And we think the Romans were barbaric."

Amerika would have put a smile on Uncle Adolph's face.
We are right up there with the greatest mass murderers in history.

Our day is coming. And it's coming fast.

That’s why it was “good news” to them, when they heard the Gospel. It was a big relief.

How do you know the modern interpretations are less accurate than old interpretations?

Sounds like a cemetery for babies that died at birth....Probably a very, very special place.

The chick that said "prostitute babies".....Which hat did she pull that out of????

Feminists probably thought they invented the practice of killing babies, but all they really did was turn it into a more efficient assembly line of death.

America makes Rome look like rank armatures when it comes to baby killing.

And the Celts practiced a particularly heinous kind of human sacrifice, by burning victims alive.

As brutal as the Romans were, they were an improvement.

From what I have seen on tv, time with a prostitute in Roman Times cost the same as a loaf of bread.

We have the EXACT opposite of that arrangement now in western culture. Mommy rules and daddy drools. And with it an explosion of boys acting like girls, children medicated with all sorts of mood enhancing drugs; the educational system dumbed down, the advent of “parenting by guilt” and “adult spousal status” given to children.

OH and the ever popular toddler in an adult’s body (non-self supporting “children” well into their twenties and thirties)

That Ancient Britons practiced human sacrifice is a proven and indisputable fact based on archeological evidence. All the modern liberals have done is selectively ignored this fact and focused on what they want to believe about pre-Roman Britons living a simple pastoral life, making pottery, being in tune with nature and living ‘peacefully’ with their neighbours (which is balls. They fought all the time with other tribes, they just weren’t as good at Empire building as the Romans). Before the Romans came across the oceans with their nasty imperialism and started oppressing them and their native culture. (Which when you consider what their culture was, is most definitely a good thing)...

The brothel was in present-day England, but it wasn't English, as the Angles were still in Angeln at the time.

I saw a documentary about Pompeii, the remains of which really are about 1/4 brothels. The best scholarship today suggests that far from being an unusual "LasVegas-like" sexpot, Pompeii was TYPICAL of the Roman Empire, just frozen in time in AD 68.

I was most fortunate to be able to visit Pompeii on several occasions. It is such a fascinating place. In one of the private homes, there is a fresco with a small, locked box obscuring a portion of it. For a few extra lire, the tour guide will unlock the box to reveal the .. ahem .. rest of the fresco.

And yet for all their calls for "sustainability" in the environment their ideology and doctrines create a toxic society that makes fully functioning families impossible.

Islam knows this and they are exploiting it to the fullest.

Know what happened to the Roman Empire?

Pre-Christian era or post Christian era?
