As Top O'Neil said: "All politics is local".

The Supreme Court struck a blow against state and local infringement of gun rights -- but the concept of "reasonable regulation" has not been resolved. Here in MA, the news is filled with reports that the Governor is looking at this ruling and deciding what to do on the state level (we're currently quite restricted and the Democrats obviously want to find a way to keep it that way).

Gun Control is now a very hot topic on the local level. And all politics is local. This is not good news for Dems.

Should have never been heard there.
If every right is subject to a USSC ruling, we’re screwed. They get as many wrong as they do right.

I’d rather do battle on state level, state by state. I can always move to a free state.

The Supremes have defined the 2nd Amendment as an individual civil right. This means that the NRA, GOA, and the rest now have the ability to file federal lawsuits for civil rights violations the same way the ACLU does, and get reimbursed for their legal expenses.

I'm not sure if the Dem establishment has fully realized all the implications of RTKBA being a Constitutionally-protected civil right.
