I have to agree with you about Rick. He’s using the situation (and has been). Look what we have for an alternative gov.: White.

White would be a disaster for TX, no doubt. But it’s a poor system when you have to vote for an immigration huckster just to keep someone worse out of office.

Yep King Perry will be gov of Texas for 14 years if he is elected this fall. It maybe time for another amendment and place a time limit on the length of time a gov can serve. He apparently thinks like so many other politicians that he’s owed a job for life.
Maybe the best answer is White with a solidly Republican state house, and have some gridlock until the GOP gets a better gubernatorial candidate.
