This bust only scraped the tip of the iceberg as far as this problem is concerned. There are likely tens of thousands of Russian and other agents in this country right now.

An observation...somewhere around 1995...while still in the Air Force...I began to notice AF guys coming up who were married to Russian wives. At Ramstein, by 2000, I’d make a guess that a minimum of forty guys were married to Russian women. I could stand in the commissary...and from fifty feet away...note most of these Russian wives (all around 6 ft tall and dressed in some provocative fashion). I would make a guess throughout the Army and Air Force today...there are at least 1,000 guys married to Russian women.

The odds of forty of them being sleepers? I’d guess better than fifty-fifty chance.
