Rev. Wright: Civil Rights Movement About 'Becoming White'

Rev. Jeremiah Wright unleashed a slew of racially charged proclamations at a seminar in Chicago last week, reportedly comparing the United States with apartheid South Africa and claiming the civil rights movement was about "becoming white."

The comments were reported by the New York Post, which provided details about a five-day class President Obama's former pastor taught at the Chicago Theological Seminary.

In the seminar, Wright reportedly told those in the class they will never "be a brother to white folk," describing racial divisions in the country as entrenched -- as he did as pastor of Trinity United Church of Christ.

People like Wright don’t WANT to see see racism go. It will deprive them of their power - they live off victimhood.

That said, Wright doesn’t have to worry. Obama has made sure racism will be around for a hundred years.

If he had governed logically, from the center, it could have been the death knell of racism and people like Wright. But there are lots of people out their that will remember Obama with a shudder and never, ever, vote for a black man again.

Exactly. I wonder if whether or not people will even vote for them as senators. But, this was not the fault of whites, we didn’t tell Obama to run this country into the ground.

IIRC, his “church” gave him a $10M mansion in a gated community on a golf course as a retirement gift. Marxism sure does provide a wealthy lifestyle for the upper end of the party.

wright taught a class at a Theological Seminary?? That’s a good one. My guess is he will understand theology when he asks dead red kennedy (RAT-Hell) and sheets byrd (RAT-Hell) for a glass of water.
