Because you can’t say “I’m glad she’s safe and sound.” All you seem to be able to say is that she shouldn’t have been out there. Even though you’ve admitted you’ve never sailed, you have relied on other people’s opinion. You don’t know the girl or her family, you just sit in judgment.
It’s not an insult, but an observation that you’ve probably never been completely independent. It’s hard to understand adventure and independence if you’ve never had either.
This makes absolutely no sense. And you're so hot to insult someone that you disagree with that you can't even see it.
