Key House Races Update - June 26 - What's Up with EP?
KeyHouseRaces.com ^ | 26 June 2010 | Interceptpoint

Posted on 06/26/2010 1:42:55 PM PDT by InterceptPoint

We've updated the Master List to reflect a few changes in the candidates running in the Republican primaries in New York. We've also updated NC-08 following Tuesday's runnoff where Harold Johnson emerged as the Republican nominee. There were fewer changes than last week in the ratings by our "Experts" and , due to some strange updates by Election Projection, the Dems had a better week than normal. But the Republicans still made a small net gain in our "Index" which moved from last weeks -.357 to this weeks -.353. A small change but in the right direction.

Here's the summary of the changes to our Experts' ratings:

Note that you can always see the current state of the "Expert" evaluations of all of the races on our Master List and an explanation of our methodology on the KeyHouseRaces Experts Page. Take a look and judge for yourself whether Election Projection went off the deep end this week.

I see both NH races are called “toss up”. I believe we are going to take District 2 (now Hodes), Probably do the same with District 1 (Che-Porter HAS to go) and hold Judd Gregg’s senate seat with Kelly Ayotte.

Yikes. Not sure what happened. I was getting error reports from FR and didn’t think the Ping was posting. Sorry about that.

Bottom line - how many do we pick-up in House & Senate?

Nothing for Oregon in that list. I do hope we can unload Schrader. When Nancy Pelosi says jump, he says how high?

Kansas 3rd has the candidates reversed. Right now Yoder is in the driver’s seat in terms of money and organization, and Lightner is playing catch-up. I think Yoder will win without it even being close and will beat Stephanee Moore in the fall.

The only Georgia race listed is that of Jim Marshall, and as a Democrat, he has voted to the right of quite a few Republicans. David Scott is the one I would like to see go.

KeyHouseRaces follows the House races. Right now it is looking like at least 25, most likely 30, could easily be 35. We need 39-40 depending on who you ask. The trends have definitely been in the Republican direction in that last several weeks. If that trend continues then Republicans will take back the House.

We'll look into that one a little closer.

Well, if Marshall was in Scott’s district and Scott was in Marshall’s district you’d get your wish, but as it is Scott will be almost impossible to dislodge while we have an excellent chance to defeat Marshall (whose voting record, BTW, is not quite as conservative as you imagine).
