Gulf oil spill: Could 'toxic storm' make beach towns uninhabitable?

Ron Greve expects the worst is yet to come in the oil spill drama that is haranguing beach towns all along the US Gulf Coast. So, like a growing number of residents, the Pensacola Beach solar-cell salesman took a hazardous materials class and received a hazmat card upon graduation.
Those cards, says Mr. Greve, could become critical in coming weeks and months. In the case of a hurricane hitting the 250-mile wide slick and pushing it over sand dunes and into beach towns, residents fear theyll face not only mass evacuations, but potential permanent relocation.
Storm-wizened locals know that it can take days, even weeks, for roads to open and authorities to allow residents to return to inspect the damage and start to rebuild after a hurricane moves through.

I think this is exactly what 'Zero' wants and it accomplishes so many things.
1.It shows and punishes us for the error of our Oil Consuming/Global Warming /Non-Green lifestyle that so many on the left not only condemn, but have actively call for and wished for us to be punished for. What better way to push a green energy/carbon neutral/stop global warming agenda. (No crisis should go to waste.)
2.Punish the 'red' states but not the 'blue', this is not the first time this administration has not come to the aid of 'red' states. No help for those who cling to God and Guns 'Zero' made that clear during his campaign.
3.Look around the gulf as I said in point two all 'red' states, the left has a a$$ whooping coming in November and they know it and they FEAR it, but what happens to elections in states which just months before suffered a devastating 'Oilcane'?

Actually ‘misinformation’ spread by a compliant media do more harm to the beach towns than the oil.

Oil could be a real problem for the residents after a hurricane:

The area would not be uninhabitable, nor would it likely be unsafe. But this administration would be quick to declare it so.
Never waste a good crisis you have just manufactured.

Its the new form of mass boondoggled chemicals upon the ecosystem like DDT, Agent Orange and now its the chemical dispersant.
Many more times more toxic than the oil itself, but the real wrong about its use is this, it may be the best tool for an oil spill in other parts of the globe especially colder places, but in the warm waters of the Gulf and during tropical storm season its like throwing in a cup of WD-40 in a hot tub, and you get in it.

Soaking the mess left by a huricane in benzine could lead to some problems.

Prayers for the people. If Obama has his way with them, they’ll be forced evacuations, thereby giving him more power to control us.

I think this is exactly what 'Zero' wants and it accomplishes so many things. By the Actions of the Feds, and in some cases it involves the Coast Guard (Not totally their fault). This is exactly want these SOBs want.

I have come to the conclusion that BP will file for bankruptcy. All over saving less than $10 million in time and better pipe.

That would make it easier to ignite all the wet wood!
Actually that shot is from Galveston’s 1900 storm and not really applicable as far as building materials. The point was when everything is wiped out, it doesn’t really matter.
There are historical markers in the cotton fields near the north shore of Nueces Bay that mark the location of temporary burial sites for all the bodies that washed up there years ago.
Just saying there are far worse things to worry about in a hurricane.

Comrade O wants the spill and his publicity people are bent on making it seem much worse than it actually is.
Mother nature took care of the spills (U-boats sinking tankers and torpedoing drilling rigs) in the Gulf during WW2 and the problems were taken in stride. Now it’s an environmental doomsday (only because the socialist greenies say so).

Exactly! They want a disaster, how else would you explain things like the Feds stopping oil skimmers from going out and sand berms from being built?
