I predict the "volt" will turn into the REvolt...it will go the way of the Vega and the Corvair.

In the first place, I'll never buy an electric car, and secondly, if we all hold out, they'll have bunch of empty buildings up there in Maryland.

The peacock has already promised us that electricity rates will "significantly increase", so in addition to the time wasted and inconvenience, it'll cost as much to charge the batteries as a tank of gas, with less mileage per "fill".

I will never buy another General Motors product, and I won't buy an electric car; we are being pushed into the world of the rabid environmentalist.

People still think electricity grows on trees.

PHOTO OF THE WEEK: The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety crashes a smart fortwo into a GEM electric car at 31 mph, inflicting extensive damage to the neighborhood electric vehicle. Also tested was a 2008 Tiger Star mini truck, which also suffered extensive damage.

"For tonight, as midnight approaches, and the power rolls on and off across California, your home is running just fine. The car's battery will be wiped out by morning, but no matter. That's what the six-year-old gas-guzzler sitting next to it is for." http://evworld.com/insider.cfm?id=268

Frankly, I won’t miss dealing with OPEC and oil companies who jack prices every time the American economy starts to pick up the littlest bit and knock it back down again. I’ll probably keep one stick shift gas engined car around as a souvenir but it will spend all but the tiniest part of its life parked under a tree.

I have driven GM Suburbands and Tahoes all my adult life. I saw the hand writing on the wall about them being fazed out due to the gov. forcing smaller cars on us. I bought a new Tahoe in ‘09, I did not see the takeover by obozo of GM. My next vehicle, if I outlive this one, will be a Ford.
