Just a standard Rem. 870 with the factory folding stock.
Or as I like to describe it "My really heavy handgun".
Rem or Mossberg 500 JIC? About to buy my first gun.
The Mossberg has a tang safety which can be switched on or off without removing your hand from the firing position.
The Mossberg has a superior loading gate through which shells can be fed without the possibility of catching ones fingers or shells in that piece of steel inherent to the Remington.
This is especially important in the dark.
The Mossberg comes factory drilled and tapped for a scope or optical sights.
Now I'm a fan of the 870 for hunting purposes. But for social work, I feel the Mossberg is superior.
Best,
L
Why does it have a modified choke in it? Ordinarily one would use a cylinder choke for social work.
