Well, um, when you insult a bunch of us, we sorta tend to get our panties in a twist.

BTW my kid never held me back.

He can fix his own food when I am gone, he can defend himself, He dosnt throw a tantrum if I want to hang out with old farts and smoke cigars, he loves BBQs, fishing trips , hiking and the race track. He whoops my ass at xbox and is just generally a nice addition to mylife.

I cant imagine what life would be without him.

“kids” I recommend them

Point the first, your screen name might just possibly be the most awesome EVER.

Point the second, God clearly hates you and your wife, or you’d have had your own bio-children right now. Your medical rationalization matters not. Who are you to judge God and His plans for you? /nastyfreeper

In today’s society, I think children are *used* for people who want them as *trophies* not all, but many today do.

In the past, people had children and large families to help the parents on there farms. or help farm the land....Kids were part of families that added value to society, as the parents taught and built their character, taught them about GOD, hard work, respect for other’s, compassion and responsibility. This is not being taught to children today.

My son is grown, and as I said earlier I never wanted anymore children, I enjoyed and still do being around older folks or working with the geriatric community.

I have no idea what the Kids of today are going to grow up to be? But I would never want kids today. Not in the world we live in....

I just bought a house from a childless woman (widow) who recently entered a nursing home.

It was interesting—the house was sold by her 4 nephews (actually husbands of her nieces)—and no one cared about her furniture or her things so basically my husband and I got to keep all the furniture and whatever belongings we wanted.

Made me think about what it would be like to be childless at the end of life. . .

Kind of funny—she was the original owner of a 4 bedroom house built in 1975 and so my 4 kids will be the first kids to ever live in these 35 yr old bedrooms!

LOL

Of course, if I did bear children now, it would be the immaculate conception all over again. Ha!

That “many of them” part is still a sweeping generalization. Sorry...I stand by my position.

I volunteer at an assisted living home for Seniors..I see people in their that gave everything to there kids, yet the Kids don’t bother to come and see them?

Many people stick there ageing parents in nursing homes, waiting for them to die, so they can inherit the parents estate....

I see the next generation even being worse and cruel to there parents once they become a burden in age.

How can the *Entitlement Generation* know compassion anyway’s.

Well, I say we give the tykes a chance at greatness.

We want to protect them by never having them.
I think that’s disingenuous.

Let them experience the joys and sorrows of life.

"Immaculate Conception" refers to Mary and not to the Virgin Birth...

Cheers!

Maybe....

I think when we made abortion so accessible, not only did we create the killing of innocent life, we also created horrible parents.

When I hear about people torturning their children, burning them, throwing them in public trash cans, molesting them, I say to myself....Most people should be permanently steralized.

The nose knows, if they are.

There are several bacterial and enzyme treatments available today. Cat pee is no longer an insuperable problem.

My mom had 4 boys, 1 girl. All conservative. And she has always had TONS of cats (we live in country). Now, whether the cats are conservative is anyone’s guess. Some of them seem a bit elitist so I would say they lean liberal.

Those are rare circumstances and even in adverse economic circumstances our lives are generally enhanced by familial bonds.

The story of Homer Hikam comes to mind.
Many would say that the community was one of poverty and that bringing a child into that would be cruel.

Homers Dad never understood him, but Homer understood his Dad, AND LOVED HIM.

I say give the kids a chance
