The Obama administration has been holding behind-the-scenes talks to determine whether the Department of Homeland Security can unilaterally grant legal status on a mass basis to illegal immigrants, according to Fox News.
The source for this bombshell – which could ignite a national uproar given that a majority supports tougher laws against illegals – is an unidentified former Bush administration official who spoke with at least three people involved in those talks.
The issue was raised publicly by eight Republican senators who wrote to the White House on Monday to complain that they had heard the administration was readying a "Plan B" in case a comprehensive immigration reform bill cannot win enough support to clear Congress, according to Fox.
The White House would not confirm or deny the claim. But the former Bush official said the discussions are real.
"The administration at the very minimum is studying legal ways to legalize people without having to go through any congressional debate about it," the source said, calling the senators' claim credible. "Whether somebody pulls the trigger on that, that's another issue."

(1) The GOP cannot get 66 votes in the senate, even if every single Democrat up for election in 2010 is thrown out. In fact the GOP can’t even get 60 to stop filibusters.
(2) No Democrat will ever vote to impeach a democrat. So unless you have 67 GOP Senators there will be no impeachment. Democrats have no honor, decency or integrity. They believe only in power. For a Democrat party completely outweighs country.
(3)While the GOP is likely to take the House it will not be with a large majority. A number of RINO congress critters will reliably side with Obama in exchange for some political favor. Not many, but enough to prevent impeachment from passing if the GOP only has a five or ten seat majority.

Yes. Yes. I know SB1070 will go to SCOTUS. But, it will likely go there on appeal from the FED. The states will be emboldened if the FIRST ruling is in favor of AZ.

For some time, I have worried that the months of November and December are the most frightening time in America’s history.
Uncontrolled lame duck voting by a bunch of those libs booted out of office with nothing to lose, that will be singed into law by the WH alien. Even a GOP controlled congress cannot overturn any of this afterwards as the WH alien can veto.
