Apropos: 1 Corinthians 1:18-31
18For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
19For it is written:
"I will destroy the wisdom of the wise;
the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate."

Thank you MrB. There is an answer to EVERYTHING in the bible...even Ms. Garafalo.

That was the first thing I thought when I read the thread title. She ridicules because she is filled with pride. She is "too smart" for the bible. God gives grace to the humble but resists the proud. One of the elements of God's call for salvation is it's presented in such a way - I think intentionally - that the proud are offended, while those who set aside their pride have the scales lifted from their eyes. Another verse that I have been seeing come true is Matthew 13:12 "For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath." I continue to see people who once had some sense of truth and knowledge show that even that which they had they have now lost. Truly their intelligence and wisdom is frustrated and destroyed. Amazing.
