New poll shows Obama approval at all-time low
Yahoo News ^ | June 24, 2010 | Yahoo

The White House has been fond of citing turning points lately, most recently when describing the administration's handling of the Gulf of Mexico oil spill. Now President Obama faces a turning point of his own — and not for the better.

A new NBC/Wall Street Journal poll finds Obama's approval rating to be the lowest it's been since he took office 18 months ago. According to the poll, only 45 percent approve of the job Obama is doing in the White House, compared with 48 percent who disapprove. And the numbers only get worse from there: Sixty-two percent of respondents believe the country is on the wrong track — the highest number recorded since just before Election Day in 2008 — and just one-third believe things are going to get better, a 7-point drop since a month ago and the lowest such number in the Obama presidency.

The fallout from the Gulf of Mexico oil spill appears to be the biggest drag on Obama's numbers. Fifty percent disapprove of his handling of the crisis — including one in four Democrats. But generally, the poll finds increasing doubts about Obama as a leader.

Just 49 percent of those polled give Obama positive ratings when asked if he has "strong leadership qualities" — that's a decline of 8 points since January and nearly 20 points from when he first took office.

Less than half rate him positively when asked if he's "honest and straightforward." In January '09, 63 percent gave him positive marks for "being firm and decisive in decision-making." That number is now at 44 percent.

Asked about his "ability to handle a crisis," only 40 percent rate him positively, an 11-point drop since January. You can read the full poll results here.

Obama can’t hide his inability to do the job he took anymore.

My head spins with the rhetoric. My sister in law, a very rich woman who lives in Hindsdale and Maui, is still saying he was just given too much bad from the Bush adm. I told her that BO said he could fix it all so what has he done? She is still defending him, I just don’t get it.

I don’t recognize this country right now.

And it’s not just at the federal level. A few minutes ago I received absolute confirmation that my e-mails are being both read and targetted. Yesterday I sent myself an e-mail from my daughter’s computer in the hopes that my computer will one day work again (it randomly decided to work shortly after I sent that e-mail). Now my daughter’s computer is being hit with the same attempts at virus-passing that my computer has been getting - this time somebody posing as Polarik (but you don’t know it’s not from Polarik until you click and see it’s from somebody else).

They’re probably mad because they know I discovered - and can document - that the VA has altered cemetery records to cover for Obama. What’s amazing is that even though I know everybody in government is corrupt it still shocks me when I see how blatantly corrupt they are. They know I’m on the right track and they are in the process of destroying records even as I type.

Miserable vomitous masses, all of them. Warthog-faced buffoons. Their mothers were hamsters and their fathers smelt of elderberries. If I was a guy I’d wave my private parts at their aunties. I do fart in their general direction.

(Gotta laugh because if you don’t you’ll cry)

“If they qualified the respondents by people who aren’t receiving free money from the government, the approval numbers would drop another 20.”

Well maybe that would help explain this, which made my jaw drop:
“Less than half rate him positively when asked if he’s “honest and straightforward.”

That less than half apparently represents people who a) are really ignorant (not paying attention); b) willfully ignorant (know what’s going on, but don’t care since they benefit from the lies); or c) wouldn’t recognize a lie if it smacked them upside the head.

It would be fascinating to see a breakdown by education level and/or knowledge of current affairs as well as marginal tax rate—anyone with a negative marginal tax rate being a net recipient of goodies from the government.

More and more people are figuring out the audacity of truth abbot Obama and they don't like it....even though it has been there for all to see from the beginning.

But now folks are feeling the impact and they know we are being driven over the edge of a cliff, And well they should see that as these marxists seek to destroy the constitutional republic our founders built and that million have bled and died to preserve.

Our founders warned of these veer dangers.

"Neither the wisest constitution nor the wisest laws will secure the liberty and happiness of a people whose manners are universally corrupt. He therefore is the truest friend to the liberty of his country who tries most to promote its virtue, and who, so far as his power and influence extend, will not suffer a man to be chosen into any office of power and trust who is not a wise and virtuous man." Samuel Adams

"The liberties of our Country, the freedom of our civil constitution are worth defending at all hazards: And it is our duty to defend them against all attacks. We have receiv'd them as a fair Inheritance from our worthy Ancestors: They purchas'd them for us with toil and danger and expense of treasure and blood; and transmitted them to us with care and diligence. It will bring an everlasting mark of infamy on the present generation, enlightened as it is, if we should suffer them to be wrested from us without a struggle; or be cheated out of them by the artifices of false and designing men." - Samuel Adams

"We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Avarice, ambition, revenge or gallantry would break the strongest cords of our Constitution as a whale goes through a net. Our Constitution is designed only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate for any other." John Adams
These men knew human nature and designed our constitution and government accordingly. Only a few reads of their words illustrate how far we have strayed. Far too many have been lured into immorality or apathy by the wiles of evil, designing men and women who lust for power and vice and want our liberty destroyed. But we can take it back during any election cycle if the American people simply return to those fundamental moral principles (which are fundamental Christian principles) John Adams spoke of and rise up and kick the frauds and internal enemies out and send them packing. I pray God in Heaven that 2010 and 2012 are such years.

The magnitude of the oil spill isn’t something he can hide with his lies. The whole world thinks it’s a disgrace how it is being handled.

It’s still high enough to destroy the country, and the lemmings will be elated.

Yes, so many Americans, and they are in most families in some numbers, will always believe in that kind of falsehood. They just lack essential brain power.

>Yes, he can declare himself capable and his followers will “believe in hope and change.”<

Even his followers are not buying into the “because I said so” hype.

He has over used “Bush’s fault” “Racist” “Transparent” along with “hope and change” to death.

Notice he no longer talks about “hope and change” anymore?

I’m telling ya with as much sincerity as I can pass along in a written word, his lame one liners are over. They ain’t buying it anymore. Now he is just going to get down and dirty and forget about trying to placate people. It is just gonna get down right ugly with this guy.

He will be doing stuff that even the left will go nuts over because he is a loon. He knows his days are numbered until a REAL congress reigns him in. So he will use every bit of power, influence and thuggery he can very soon to pass his agenda to destroy us.

mark my words.

In other news recent research reveals UNEXPECTED and UNPRECEDENTED levels of idiocy. Forty five percent of Americans are revealed to be totally brain dead.

“However, most people won’t believe the “Big Truth” for instance, that Obama is a traitor bent on the destruction of the USA.

The Manchurian President...”
////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

I pegged him as exactly that long before the election. There is not an inkling of doubt in my public school brain that he is a traitor PUT IN OFFICE for the express purpose of destroying this country. My only point of confusion is that I am still not certain what HE thinks he is. I am beginning to believe he may be mentally deranged enough to think he is actually a great president. There is definitely something very important missing from his mental structure.
He is about five big watermelons short of a pickup load. Are you sure he is not a zombie?

todays Toronto news rag claimed that Ozero “Shined” in confrontation with the General.

What we discovered from this about Barky is the only time he shows swift management decision making ability is when he's insulted. He has very thin skin.
