Exactly. In fact, it's probably not even his strategy (some days I doubt that he's even bright enough to spell the word) but that of some of the arrogant, anti-military bumblers surrounding him. They're doing the least they can possibly do and still make it look as if they want to win, because while the left might not care if we abruptly pulled out and handed it over to the Taliban, many normal Americans would be quite upset. That's the only thing that worries them.
There will be a public pissing match, IMO, but I don’t think Karzai will be the only one going after NObama.
NObama doesn’t understand how to fight an enemy. I have serious doubts that he considers the Taliban or Al Queda an enemy in the first place, since I firmly believe NObama is a Muslim in the first place.
Another look at his incompetance is by looking at the composition of the ‘commission’ he is appointing to look into the reasons for the Horizon drilling rig failure & the subsequent oil leak.
There isn’t a single engineer on the commission.
There isn’t a single oil company person on the commission.
There isn’t a single geologist on the commission.
There isn’t a single “Red Adair” type person on the commission.
There are only Enviro Greenies who hate oil companies & their advocates.
When the fire occurred on the drilling rig- altho there were losses of personnel, there were many more that had time to escape from the disaster.
How long did it take the Coast Guard to arrive at the burning rig?
Did the CoastGuard even have the correct training to deal with the fire on the oil rig? The correct equipment? Did they use water on an oil fire? Did it just spread the fire?
Did the massive amounts of water used by the Coast Guard on the rig cause it to ‘swamp’ & sink? These rigs are built to ride out class 5 hurricanes.......WHY did it SWAMP?
Did the swamping of the drilling rig cause the riser pipe-all 5000 plus feet of it— to be ripped apart & buckle & cause the oil leak to occur?
Did ANYONE call for experts from the companies that fight blowouts-pipeline leaks- oil fires- to come & give advice or services? There are plenty of such companies world wide.
Was there an oil leak from the very beginning of the oil rig fire? Or did that leak start 2 days later- after the rig swamped?
The timelines are unclear in every account I can find.
I wonder if there was no leak until the rig swamped-—& who is actually responsible for that?
IF it is the USA Coast Guard, then BP may have a future field day in court with NObama’s heavy-handed moves over the past 65 days.
Who can fill in some more of these timelines?
Apparently he and H. Karzai are on good terms now! At least they seemed to be when the latter came to D.C.. I could be wrong; that could all be an illusion!
