Asked when the border might finally be secure, Miss Napolitano did not answer directly, instead saying officials will never completely "seal" the border The blind leading the blind and the border isn't getting sealed, she and Obama aren't even putting up speed bumps.

CLOSE THE DAM BORDER......NOW. Work on the rest later. It doesn’t take a brain surgeon to figure this out. Basically, they don’t really care and don’t want to fix it.

the federal government will move to let state and local police... what do you mean "let"? GTH, Janet... the states and locals can do as they need and please, as you won't do it.

Non-border states? Iowa and West Virginia, etc to send their LEO's to man the border? Ridiculous to me. They need to be working in their own states.
Why doesn't this Administration 'hire' the Border Patrol Agents that the Bush Administration provided for? It appears that the feds wants other states to do their job.
I would think that this move does in fact weaken their argument before the court on the Arizona law.

Ms. Napolitano has demonstrated she is as willing as McCain and Obama to demagogue this issue.
Does she know she has a national guard contingent at her beck and call? Probably not. Her kind are loathe to consider them for anything productive.

So it’s illegal for Arizona to empower state and local police to enforce border security, but it’s OK for Nappy Napolitano to employer OTHER states’ local and state police to enforce border security.
Is there anyone with a brain in the Obama administration?

Think of this, as if it is "The Enemies Strategy," no better way to empty a nation of soldiers than sending them to a foreign war that does not exist. The political class needs bodies to replace the Aborted; where else are they going to get them, citizenry not producing for tribute. The Nation is burning, while they tell you its just a Barbeque with Tacos and Kebabs!

Thoroughly pointless and utterly dishonest demagoguery. Hussein & CO know full well no "non-border" state will have it's cops go to Arizona, etc to work as border patrol agents! It's ridiculous on its face. But it SOUNDS as though they're actually DOING something. All those years at the Richard Daley School for Misleading and Incoherent Statements are really paying off.
To: jazusamo
This is a very very bad idea. It “federalizes” police. Police is a community and state function. Moving police power to the federal zone is a direct attack on freedom. Send the troops as promised.
No DAMNED shortcuts.

Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano said Wednesday the federal government will move to let state and local police in non-border states rotate down to the border to help local authorities go after smugglers along the U.S.-Mexico line. How nice of her. That's up to the bordering States. I'll bet if Arizona issued a "call up the militia" they'd get enough volunteers that they wouldn't need help from other states. It would also be a nice reminder to Washington that the States call the shots - not them.

BS about the blind leading the blind.
They know what they’re doing and they don’t want the border closed.
