Whooping cough is now an epidemic in California, and is on pace to break a 50-year record for infections and deaths for the year.
As of June 15, California had 910 recorded cases of the highly contagious disease, and five babies -- all under 3 months of age -- have died from the disease this year.
This year's surge in whooping cough cases, which is also known as pertussis, is a fourfold increase from the same period last year, when 219 cases were recorded.
At least 600 additional cases of pertussis are currently under investigation by local health departments.
Health officials say whooping cough is cyclical and tends to peak every two to five years.
A typical case of the disease starts with a cough and runny nose for one to two weeks, followed by weeks or months of rapid coughing fits that sometimes end with a whooping sound. Fever is rare.

Sounds like America is losing her “Mandate of Heaven.”
Gee, I wonder why?

Strange because I’m pretty sure our kids were vaccinated against this, are these all unvaccinated children?
At one time, long ago, one needed a full medical, including x-rays to come here. Just sayin’.
A chest rub and massage is required. Are there any volunteers?
Wanna bet which side of the border this came over from?
Another present from Illegal Aliens.

Illegal immigrants, the gift that has just begun to give
I’m guessing a high percentage are children of illegal immigrants, and not vaccinated.

Interesting thing this that more people have probably died from the disease then would have died from adverse reactions to the vacine.
Inhaling all the fumes from bathtub cheese!
That is ANOTHER reason why we need to secure the border.
Yep, This is a required vaccine, so these must be all illegals spreading this.

Last year, around July, my SIL both got a cough that lasted for months. Neither one of us got it checked out, but it took a long time to go away. At the time, I looked up the symptoms of whooping cough and it seemed consistent with what we had going on, but I’m not positive what it was. It finally dissipated, but to this day I still occasionally get a slight rattle in my chest.
