NEW HAVEN — All it took was one complaint for the school district to make a small but significant change to diplomas that will be handed out at graduations this week.
For the first time in as long as anyone can remember, diplomas for New Haven high school students were printed without the phrase “in the year of our Lord.”

High school diplomas stopped being worth the paper they’re printed on years ago anyway.
But it IS the year of our Lord! That’s what’s so hilarious. They can change BC to BCE, too, but if they acknowledge the year is 2010, then they are saying it’s the year of the Lord whether they like it or not.
Well, bully for them . . . I hope they’re proud of what they’ve done to the children who’ve probably had courses on condoms on zucchinis, homosexual rights, abortion access, and clean needle use . . . but that terrible phrase “in the year of our Lord” could surely do permanent damage . . .
On the other hand, since it’s a public screwel, the graduates probably can’t even read their diplomas anyway.
They should change the name of their school to “New Heathen” and be done with it.
Who even reads these things? I mean I glanced at it the night I received mine it....quickly, but since then it is in some box somewhere. They may have done this to save money....lol. You know each letter costs money. This issue really is not something we should get ourselves in a tizzie.

We are in deep trouble when God hears this....come on this is not something that God would be pissed at. I mean really do you think he is up there having a tantrum about this? You must think God has a big EGO. I think he is a fair person and probably could care less that his name is on these high school deploma’s. I don’t believe that God is an egomaniac.
The Bible says God is a jealous God. He wants to be worshiped.

Oh brother....that can’t be true. I never heard of such things. He wants to be worshiped???? Please that is ridiculous. I have gone to over 20,000 mass’ and never heard this....not to mention 12 years of catholic school. I believe that it is something we should do but God is very modest and humble. I am not sure what your religion is but a lot of the new religions and some evangelical types probably teach something like this.
