This may have already been posted yesterday somewhere- but it’s still interesting for perspective- though there’s no way to know if York’s source has a grudge against McC..

More Byron: McChrystal an ‘Accident Waiting to Happen’

Via: Washington Examiner ]
I just got off the phone with a retired military man, with more than 25 years experience, who has worked with Gen. Stanley McChrystal in the Pentagon. His reaction to McChrystal’s performance in the new Rolling Stone profile? No surprise at all.
“Those of us who knew him would unanimously tell you that this was just a matter of time,” the man says. “He talks this way all the time. I’m surprised it took this long for it to rear its ugly head.”
“He had great disdain for anyone, as he said, ‘in a suit,’” the former military man continues. “I was shocked one day in a small group of people when he took [former Defense Secretary Donald] Rumsfeld to task in front of all of us.”

Did someone break the TOTUS, or did the load become no longer operative before he could spew?

Oh the trials and tribulations of being First Reader (FROTUS) of the United States.

Yes, he had his so-called War Cabinet meeting 11:35-12:05 and then met with the Lesbian, Gay, Transgendereds for lunch and after that a smoke break. Tee time, 1:45 PM.

The meeting was twice as long as the photo op talked about in the RS article — where Obama had no interest in engaging McChrystal, or speaking about the actual war. I really hope that first, our troops are safe amidst this shake-up, and secondly that McChrystal let Obama ‘have it’.

Either way, he is going to make sure this incident goes on his Permanent Record, and he will probably put a sternly worded letter in his file.

"Fox showing McChrystal getting very quickly into a car and leaving.

Yeah I would too! He is probably breathing a huge sigh of relief that he doesn't have to deal with this arrogant son of a bitch anymore (at least not to the extent that he was!).

I worked with his brother in Germany who was a superb chaplain. Memory says he was from a very conservative.denomination, maybe pentecostal/charismatic. Their father was a major general, so the military has been their entire life since both went to military schools.
That doesn’t mean his denom is conservative like his brother’s, but it’s a decent possibility. I’d expect him to be opposed to dadt ending

I’d never have guessed him for an ob ama voter, so I’m open to the idea that he did so for another motive
