Ha! No. But you said, "I’ve been in Saudi before with zero problems -— on a US Passport, but openly Jewish." The inferrence was they were "tolerant" of your presence.

But after your posting on what happened with your daughter at her school and your comments on that thread, a reasonable reader could conclude you are a pretty imposing presence.

So, I was just ascertaining if there was indeed some sort of tolerance in the scenario when you passed through Saudi Arabia, or if they were thinking, "I better not say a single disrespectful thing to that big, burly Jew, or he'll break my skinny Arab butt in two."

That's where I was coming from with the question.  !

Ah, makes more sense.

I am not a small guy, no. But I was a pilot and am not as big as a burly ground crew guy, for example.

Two things: one, yes they hate Jewish people. But they tolerate openly Jewish people in Saudi more than openly Christian people (I suppose) because Jewish people do not evangelize.

I also was dealing with air force people. These are upper class, intelligent sorts, that spend a lot of time in the USA and abroad. Generally not religious and get more open news sources.
