Greene said in a 2009 interview that she began tapping her state pension because the job switch came with a steep reduction in pay -- from $121,350 a year as a judge to $73,564 as recorder last year.
"It's not double-dipping," Greene said at the time. "This is a necessity for me. How could I have afforded the lifestyle I had set for myself?"
On Tuesday, Greene denied that the lawsuit has anything to do with self-interest.

It gets better - they also convinced 100+ parishioners, who were in college, to allow them to apply for student loans (30K a pop) in their names for use by the church, claiming they would repay them within 6 months.
