"..."I want to make sure that I talk to him before I make any decision." One short sentence, the word "I" used 3 times. With no due respect, seems to me that McCrystal has made the decision already. O'bummer is a day late once again.

It's clear from that statement that Obama has made up his mind.
Obama will berate the General, show he's tough and then let him proceed according to plan.
Obama NEED the General more than the General needs the POTUS "support".

We hear Orszag, Rhambo, and Hillary on the departure list.
It will be Baraq and Axlegrease vs the world.

Irreconcilable differences. Obama wanted out soon and McChrystal didn’t.

Where was Obama's judgment when he recalled McChrystal to Copenhagen for a 10 minute photo-op between Olympic bidding for Chicago [an utter failure] and hobnobbing, and who was totally unprepared at the McChrystal meeting? I hear he didn't know who was McChrystal? He's an idiot!
Obama's maturity on the campaign trail.
Obama's maturity on display in a White House meeting.
To: milwguy
Poor Judgement? Really? Just because he told the truth abut how you have laid the plans out to lose in Afghanistan and he’s the one who used poor judgement? Barry is an @$$ of the highest degree.

Can't even look General McChrystal in the eye.
Look at me when you are speaking to me Mr CINC.

Too Late Barry, hes resigning !! If so, he should have resigned then blasted the Obama. I don't think it's right for any general to attack the CIC in the press while serving under him, whether it's Bush or Obama. If they are asked an opinion on policy in testomony before Congress, they of course can do so, but Rolling Stone? Really?

You know, it's kind of weird that a general in the middle of running a war would give a reporter from Rolling Stone that kind of access to himself and his staff.
OTOH, most of us would expect Obama to think it really, really cool to pressure a general in the middle of running a war to give a reporter from Rolling Stone that kind of access to him and his staff.
I'm kind of wondering if Obama got hoisted on his own stupid idea.
