Time author on CNN stated a WH source told him that McChrystal has submitted his resignation, but Obama has not yet accepted it.
Obama does not have a statement prepared.
Starting to look like it, isn’t it?
Well there you go. No support from Obama to win this war. It was past time for McChrystal to lay this on the incompetent Obama.
It gets interesting when a president pisses off Generals and people in the CIA, etc.....The American people are already pissed and disgusted about the corrupt banksters, the criminals on Wall Street and those in D.C. that have more allegiance to illegal aliens than the American people.
1 year 7 months, till President Palin
I don't think so. He has apparently told people that he voted for Obama.
I think people who are on the right will be disappointed by a McChrystal book. My sense is he'll bash Bush and he'll bash Obamma, no one wins.
I've seen this complex with MANY flag officers. They don't believe anyone can lead as well as they can, and when they aren't successful, it must be someone else's fault. There are no heroes in this story, especially McChrystal. But, I suppose many will support him because of the "enemy of my enemy is my friend" axiom.
If he has as much to say as Gen.Vallely it should be very interesting.
IMHO, the resignation works best for Obama. Now O isn’t faced with looking thin-skinned if he fires him, or weak if he keeps him. To me, this is the only viable “out” for Obama at this time.
Having read the article, I really don’t see McChrystal coming out and going after O in any way. To me, the article was much harsher on McChrystal and his COIN strategy. Quite a lot of mention of troops’ feeling that their hands were tied.
“Theres a good chance hell show up in Washington with a resignation letter in hand. President Obama could refuse it, and then go to the public and say something like, ‘our efforts in Afghanistan are too important to let an unfortunate lapse of judgment like this undermine them. So I told General McChrystal that he must finish his task, and that I would not accept his resignation at this time.’”
What if Obama doesn’t accept the resignation and McChrystal really doesn’t want to stay on? Is Obama gonna throw him in the stockade?
If he did plan this..then why apologize?
If you are going to kill the King...don’t wound him instead!
(is that the correct quote? lol)
I WAS KIDDING. I think General Clark has to squat to pee.
>Obama may not accept.<
.
Then McChrystal can retract his resignation on condition that Obama proves his constitutional eligibility as POTUS. That’s when the dung hits the fan for sure.
In effect, he just mooned Obama. They may have to dredge the Army ranks to find a shill General, since unfortunately, Wesley Clark has retired. The CINC should be relieved for cause (no leadership skills) not McCrystal.
If I was him, I`d just resign and skip tomorrow`s meeting all together. Now that would be a REAL message for “The Lord of the Flies”.
One Way Obama Could Save Face . . . [Daniel Foster]...
The general is a man of honor, and no idiot....
Obama is a girl of deceit with no honor, and is an idiot.
He needs to explain to us “stupid people” his politically correct rules of engagment which have put our soldiers in harms way. Then he can talk about all Obammies wierdness.

infrastructure, space plans, economy, and future,
but brings in enough enemy and their families to your homeland
to absolutely assure my win in the next and last election.
