Something “funny” about this “leak”...it plays to the AlBore position.

Obama’s incompetence is showing...but The One doesn’t seem to mind that much.

Something funny.

Seize the moment, Obama?

This is Saul Alinksy and Rahm Emmanuel crap, about using a crisis to achieve other aims.

It speaks volumes about his priorities and goals, when he uses this speech on the oil spill crisis to push the cap and trade/cap and tax bill.

Can I request that we defer the cap and trade debate until after we plug the damn hole?

The President realized he could not allow the out-of-control oil spill and its ensuing public relations disaster to continue to drag down the public’s confidence in his leadership.

WHAT "CONFIDENCE"?........

At a time of national crisis,

The oil spill is not, of itself, a national crisis.

Americans look to their president to provide assurance and direction.

How pathetic of them. He's not their Daddy. Our Founding Fathers are rolling over in their graves at the infantilization of this once-great nation.

The last thing they expect to hear is a politically-motivated address

That's exactly what they should expect. Politicians do not speak for any other reason.

... that chides them for using natural resources to achieve prosperity.

The Democrats (and some idiot Republicans) have been doing this for at least a decade. Anyone who doesn't expect it hasn't been paying attention.

In the sense, for instance, that Type 1 diabetics are addicted to insulin. You’re not taking it so much for your amusement as because you’ll die if you don’t.

Obama has a scapegoat, he has managed to push another wedge between the United States and Britian, he has a slush fund, and he has a hole in the Gulf of Mexico spewing oil with no end in sight. I’d say he’s close to maxxing out this crisis.

I think we should plug the hole with experts from academia.
