Daily Presidential Tracking Poll (58-41 disapprove!)

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Friday shows that 25% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as president. Forty-six percent (46%) Strongly Disapprove, giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -21 (see trends).

These results are based upon nightly telephone interviews and reported on a three-day rolling average basis. As a result, more than two-thirds of the interviews for today’s update were conducted after the president’s speech to the nation. Tomorrow’s update will be the first based entirely upon interviews conducted after the speech.

The Presidential Approval Index is calculated by subtracting the number who Strongly Disapprove from the number who Strongly Approve. It is updated daily at 9:30 a.m. Eastern (sign up for free daily e-mail update). Updates are also available on Twitter and Facebook.

Overall, 41% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the president's performance. That’s the lowest level of approval yet recorded for this president. Fifty-eight percent (58%) now disapprove.

Thanks for helping my "ol man memory". But I have been reading that PB will be litigating this for 30 years. People in the Gulf will bring suits for all kinds of health issues of family and future family issues. That would be the same as Union. The courts will be choked with cases way past my lifetime.

Yeah, that’s hard to come back from when the number of people who basically hate you outnumbers those who will just tolerate you!

The strong disapprovers will voice criticism. Without strong approvers to defend against criticism, it will just wear down his approval base over time.

I don't think Obama has that many strong approvers left among white middle-class men, nor among married white women, which has GOT to hurt him in when the chat turns to politics in gatherings. Even radical Lefties will shut up when they find themselves vocally outnumbered.
