As Los Angeles police officers tried to control outbreaks of violence, rowdy Lakers fans set fire to a cab at 7th and Flower streets.
The flames curled into the air as an explosion rocked the vehicle. A Fire Department engine responded and knocked down the flames.

A brawl in the crowd leaving the Fenway area bars after the Celtics [team stats] loss last night may have left a woman injured, after she was thrown down by a police officer busting up a fight between several women.
The group of three women were pulling each others hair and scatching at each other in front of a Kenmore Square restaurant shortly after midnight when a Herald reporter saw a police officer run in to bust it up.
