This is beyond simply "not working"... this is deliberate.

Kooky truther! You hate America first. We'll never have a president who doesn't love us like a benevolent god/father. You think that way about the Commander in Chief in a time of war? By extension, you hate the troops and want to have homosexual relations with Osama bin Laden. Not in MY AMerica! We're free. Nothing bad will ever happen. And Everyone is jealous of us cause we have more liberty now than anyone ever anywhere.

Jindal needs to call a Press conference.. Not that the lame stream media will cover it, but call a damn press conference and demand Obama be impeached.. IMMEDIATELY.

Delayed a day, but they did get the go-ahead:

....”But the Coast Guard ordered the stoppage because of reasons that Jindal found frustrating. The Coast Guard needed to confirm that there were fire extinguishers and life vests on board, and then it had trouble contacting the people who built the barges. “
...snip....

“After Jindal strenuously made his case, the barges finally got the go-ahead today to return to the Gulf and get back to work, after more than 24 hours of sitting idle. “

I am curious why the governors of the affected states have not gone rogue.
I have read that they may risk arrest if they do anything against a government decree. I also think it would be a badge of honor, possibly elevating them to the Presidency if they went rogue.
Jindahl- have a news conferance and tell the reporters that this government effort is poorly and incompetantly done. Demand Obama waive the Jones Act, or you will show up in Congress demanding it.
Invite the Dutch tankers in. Bring the reporters out on a boat with you, and they can film the Coast Guard not allowing the Dutch access. Make the Kenyan look stupid.
You can do it! If you do, the Presidency could be yours. Most Americans like decisive, take no prisoners leaders.

I agree with you. I have been monitoring a liberal board from before he got elected to now and they went from being arrogant defenders of him to chiding him for being “just a showman with no gonads” and “not who we thought he was” ever since he partied and golfed from day one of the oil spill. He believes since he is demonizing BP he is fooling his leftist voters. I got news for him. He is already toast to them and they feel betrayed. Nothing I showed them made any difference but this has hung him. My Democrat neighbors told me they are never voting Democrat again because of what he did to their Medicare Advantage. Our governors need to go for it and do what they must for their states.

Arresting a sitting governor who is trying to protect his state would be all over the news.
Actually, if I was arrested as a governor , I would demand they take me away in handcuffs. It would make for a good visual.
The governors have the power here, and they are not using it, for fear of government action.
But, if pushed against the wall, Obama will cave.

Great idea!! As we've seen the potential for the Fed's to attempt to exert their might over the state, I thought about the option for states to deploy their National Guards and state police to both implement state policies and to protect state leaders while arresting any federal “agent” that attempts to thwart the will of the state. A perfect initial exercise could have been in California over the water for farming issue. The Gov could have ordered the National Guard to seize the pumping stations, open the valves and dare the EPA, et. al. to do anything. Now, the opportunity shifts to Louisiana.

It’s PAST time the States start FORCEFULLY exerting themselves and their rights under the Tenth Amendment. BUT, we all know that currently the Federal Courts are a STACKED deck against the States, period. There would NEVER be a fair hearing of the Constitutionality of States Rights under the Tenth Amendment under the CURRENT circumstances. Given THAT reality — it’stime to CHANGE the current reality. That means the States must CHANGE the current reality. Louisiana clearly sees that the Feds have NO intention of saving their coastline, NOR their oil, tourism nor fishing industries. Time for them to act. If the Feds refuse to get out of their way, the State Police and National Gaurdsmen should act to REMOVE them from the are so that THEY may save their means of economic well being.

Indeed, California ought to have done the same. Texas recently should have done the same when the Feds took over regulation and oversight of refineries in their state — something the State has ALWAYS done. The Feds simply walked in a couple of weeks ago and told the Texas officials to take a hike. Within hours, Governor Perry should have had several hundred Texas Rangers swarming that refinery arresting every federal offical and EPA hack and carting them to the airport for a flight nonstop to DC. And Governor Brewer in Arizona has an open and shut case for mobilizing the Arizona National Gaurd to her border to protect her state from illegals — but she’d have to deploy some to the airports and other borders for fear of the Federals trying to seize the state!

It’s RIDICULOUS that it’s gone this far — but WASHINGTON IS TOO POWERFUL AND THEY MUST BE STOPPED! States have to stand up. Sometimes, that means creating a situation that MAKES Washington take notice — THEN going before the Courts, or the Legislatures, or before the highest tribunal, We The People of this nation, and saying “no more will WE allow would be tyrants in a far away capital dictate to the People of our state how WE will govern ALL our affairs! We will abide by the Constitution — and SO WILL WASHINGTON. It’s the Tenth Amendment. Get used to it, or count us OUT!”
