"I apologize for using the term 'shakedown' with regard to yesterday's extortion by the White House . . . I regret the impact that my statement this morning implied that BP should pay for the consequences of their decisions and actions in this incident under the rule of written law, when the Obama Regime prefers to use street law."

All you can do is shake your freaking head. Now, not only did Jeff Miller expose himself as a coward, but so did Joe Barton. It’s a two-for-one the Republicans just handed the scumbag Democrats! God help us.. God help America. The place is dying before our eyes.

I guess I’m in the monority here, but is there a reason BP should NOT pay for the damage their actions caused?
I understand the argument that we need to make sure BP doesn’t go out of business as that’s the only way that can pay claims. But they surely are not worthy of receiving an apology is somebody thinks they need to pay.
