....That iconic moment for Obama may well be the image of him last night, hands folded behind that huge empty desk. He was revealed as an impostor, someone play-acting as president and an interloper in serious matters. There wasnt anything particularly wrong with what he said it was that image. He and his presidency seemed shrunken, with the man once considered a political colossus now hiding behind and dwarfed by the props of the office.
Part of the reaction is certainly the steely political calculation by the left that Obama may be a lost cause. But there was also, I think, the flash of insight and the pang of panic by those invested in this president: it is impossible to maintain the pretense that hes larger than life. The man looks entirely out of his league.

Welcome to reality.
Maybe they should have reconstructed that hubris-inducing set from his Denver acceptance speech and instructed him to deliver last night’s drone-o-thon borefest from the podium.
Obama was an empty suit in 2008. Now he’s an empty suit that’s in way, way over his head.
Watch for the breakdown. He hasn’t got the character for what’s coming.
yep, they love to throw you up to worship, but even more, they love to tear you down.
More like an SNL skit!
What, is he looking straight at Michelle? Your face will freeze like that, Barry.
That would be funny. However, I am concerned about something worse than that. Oilbama may be dazed and confused, but Rahm Emmanuel and crew are not. They are dangerous people. They see their grip on power slipping away. Who knows what they may attempt.
While this would be nice, I'm not convinced. The likes of Chris Matthews can still tingle in his loins when Obama moves. Liberals need to believe the lie. They still will.
The captured media have a huge share of the blame as do the sheep-like public that bought into their line. I hope people get mad enough to really do something about the press. Bunch of liars. NYT, CBS, NBC all ought to be marched on at the same time Washington is.
There’s that middle finger sticking out again.

When Carter the Incompetent was elected to POTUS the cartoonists had a blast. Over the years they began to draw him smaller, and smaller, and smaller to those around him.
Desperation is going to seize the kenyan team of fools. A 42% approval has never happened with a wartime president. He needs a catastrophe and he needs one now. One that he can “fix”, or appear to fix. Riots are what he wants.
