....That iconic moment for Obama may well be the image of him last night, hands folded behind that huge empty desk. He was revealed as an impostor, someone play-acting as president and an interloper in serious matters. There wasnt anything particularly wrong with what he said it was that image. He and his presidency seemed shrunken, with the man once considered a political colossus now hiding behind and dwarfed by the props of the office.
Part of the reaction is certainly the steely political calculation by the left that Obama may be a lost cause. But there was also, I think, the flash of insight and the pang of panic by those invested in this president: it is impossible to maintain the pretense that hes larger than life. The man looks entirely out of his league.

His no drill policies will kill jobs , drive up the price of oil in the US and make us less secure. At the same time his policies seem to benefit middle East oil drilling countries, Brazil and Soros. His alliances are not with the US

There is nothing wrong with that desk that a net, paddles and ping-pong balls wouldn’t fix.

It’s the wide angle lens that expands the desk and shrinks Obama. It looks like he’s at a table...waiting for an order of grits.

There is only one thing a US President can do that is worse then playing politics with a catastrophic man-made disaster. Doing it from a perfectly clean desk.

He never has anything on his desk. Google search Reagan, H.W. Bush, Clinton, W. Bush, Nixon, LBJ, with many of the pictures you you can find stuff all over the desk. With him, almost nothing at all in almost every picture.
