So were the J and S models, but still loved it. Avionics tech tuning a klystron tube with a power meter and a screwdriver?! Whoever heard of such a thing.

Then the lawn darts came along, and you pushed a button and ate a banana, and the computer told you what component to change.

So, you were WCS? Or whatever the USN called radar troops. Ya ever ground the klystron to the RSG chassis and not quite get yer finger out of the way?

My first day of training, my instructor grabs my wrist and touches the klystron. Someone says "Wouldn't you have gotten shocked, too.? " He says "Yeah...but I was ready for it." Good times.

And, the guys who had worked on "real" jets were worth their weight in gold the first time the BIT test wouldn't work.
